As a Freelance Code Reviewer at CoGrammar, you should ideally be experienced in carrying out technical, high-quality code reviews and would possess strong programming skills in one or more of the following: Java JavaScript React Databases (SQL) APIs Spring Express UI / UX Python HTML / CSS C / C++ iOS development (Swift) PHP Pandas / Matpotlib / similar skill Statistics and R Machine learning Excel / VBA As a Code Reviewer, you not only fill one of the most key roles in our organisation, you define what we are. In this role, you will be responsible for completing, and will own the quality of,  the technical code reviews we provide to our international partners (some of the biggest brands in technology, recruitment and education headquartered in the US, UK and Europe). A growth mindset is essential because at any point in time, you could be invited to work on an advanced-level curriculum or a new technology stack in order to meet the requirements of our partners. Therefore, continuous training, further learning and specialisation will be an integral part of this role.

The Talent Acquisition Manager at CoGrammar has the crucial role of creating and implementing strategies for talent acquisition, while also supporting on talent retention, management and progression, through an understanding of CoGrammar’s medium to long term vision and priorities.  In this role, you will be building a diverse and skilled team at one of the fastest growing startups in South Africa. You will develop and guide CoGrammar’s Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and oversee talent acquisition for three functions - academic staff for HyperionDev, code reviewers for our niche code-review-as-a-service team, and core team members for CoGrammar. You will set the company-wide talent acquisition strategy in collaboration with the Human Resources and People Operations teams. You will drive talent acquisition both strategically and operationally, understanding our company culture and individual roles to recruit employees with a strong fit to the role and company. You will devise creative, non-traditional methods to attracting talent for sourcing candidates both online and offline (think open recruitment days, career events, developing partnerships, and more). You will also be involved in training & development of department leads on matters crucial to the business such as scorecard development for identified roles, skills gap assessment within their team, workforce planning, and strategizing for attracting the right kind of talent. To be successful in this role, you will be expected to: > Understand the vision and objectives of the company to visualize the right kind of talent for roles within various departments, and create a suitable talent acquisition strategy for the business; > Develop our employer brand and Employee Value Proposition (EVP); > Drive talent acquisition both strategically and operationally, managing a team of internal recruiters; > Understand our company culture and individual roles to recruit employees with a strong fit to the role and company; > Participate in workforce planning to guide recruitment and retention, working alongside department leads; > Work with the executive team and department leads to assess and identify gaps in skills/values/competencies, on individual basis and team basis, for creating targeted training & development plans; > Build and manage relationships with external recruitment partners and hiring partners.

A Front-end Developer who can hit the ground running when it comes to Shopify design and development on the frontend. You don’t have to be strong in some of these areas, but what will separate you from the rest is if you have an awareness of the process, so be prepared to do a technical assessment and wow us with your skills.    If you are someone who: Is able to delight and provide a great experience for our merchants – we like you already. Prides themselves on delivering quality code – we like you even more. Is able to translate designs into functional user interfaces – you got our attention. Has previous success in the same field – we’re almost convinced. Has strong UI/UX sensibility – we’re almost sold.  What will you be required to do: Front-end development using HTML, CSS (SCSS, BEM), JavaScript, JQuery Shopify Theming (if you have not done this before, skills can be acquired over time, but if you have experience in doing this, then this would be a bonus Liquid templating (this would be a plus, but not an essential for the role and can be learnt over time) Work in Git, set up a development environment, deployment workflows, branching, continuous integration and more Develop for a Shopify store Testing & QA for functionality (if you have written automated tests then this is another bonus point for you)

Support the entire application lifecycle Produce fully functional mobile applications writing clean code Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions Troubleshoot, debug and optimize performance Design interfaces to improve the user experience.
